Cody Voyles

January 26, 2024

Cody Jermaine Voyles was born to Phillip Kevin and Regina Jo (Thomas) Voyles on April 6, 1986, in West Plains, Missouri. With humble acceptance of God's will, on January 11, 2024, he finished his courageous battle in Kansas City, Kansas, surrounded by his loving family. Growing up in a small town is a blessing in itself. Cody spent his childhood making memories in Winona, Missouri. He attended State Technical College of Missouri in Linn, Missouri, and kickstarted his career traveling all over the country in various lines of construction work. Cody was joined in marriage to his beloved wife, Kendra Rose Grandstaff, on May 24, 2010, and was a devoted father to his sons, Conley Easton and Griffin Royce. Home was wherever they were all together, whether that was actually at their house or traveling on work trips and vacations. Cody was a cherished husband, father, son, brother, and friend. His love for his family was evident in all that he did. You could always find him cooking a gourmet meal on the grill, working on his latest project, or taking care of something or someone. Cody was hardworking and driven, with an adventurous spirit and a witty sense of humor. Cody had a way of making life's simple moments into wonderful memories.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Vane and Macie Voyles and Junior Thomas; his step-grandparents, Violet Voyles and Chuck Antel; and along with several uncles, aunts, and cousins. His legacy leaves a testament of true love and faith living on through his family: his wife, Kendra, and his sons, Conley Voyles and Griffin Voyles; his parents, Kevin and Gina Voyles; his brother, Casey Voyles, sister-in-law, Julie Voyles; nephews, Malaki Voyles and Maxen Voyles; niece, Mya Voyles; his grandmother, Nina Antel, his mother- in-law, Julie Thompson; as well as many uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends. Cody's spirit, strength, and love will live on through the wonderful memories he created with us all. We'll see you at home, "Cody Want a Sody".
