Elaine Juanita (Seaman) Eubanks

Elaine Juanita Eubanks, 94 years old, passed away on February 1, 2024, in Rogersville, Missouri. She was born on December 14, 1929, in Shannon County, Missouri, to Gene W. and Effie P. (Wright) Seaman. She graduated from Willow Springs High School and then attended Southwest Missouri State College (now MSU) in Springfield. Elaine married Gene Anderson, and to this union, three children were born Michael, Debra, and Jeffrey. Elaine helped open St. Francis Hospital in 1956 and was Sister Cornelia's secretary and office manager, working there until 1973. She later married Samuel A. Eubanks, and they would make their home in Kansas City, Missouri, for the next 36 years until his death in 2010. Elaine and her miniature schnauzer, Lil Sassy Girl, would move to Springfield, Missouri, to be closer to her children and cousin, Joy Elaine. She loved antiquing, reading, shopping, working crossword puzzles, and playing her organ. Elaine was a Christian, she and Sam were members of Blue Ridge Methodist Church, Raytown, MO. Elaine was preceded in death by her parents; husband Sam; son, Michael; and granddaughter, Rebekah. Elaine is survived by her children, Debra (James) Duddridge of Pomona, MO, and Jeffrey (Mary) Anderson of Springfield, MO; three grandchildren, Brent (Gina) Anderson, Kip (Lindsay) Anderson and Krisha (Bryan) Heavener; eight great-grandchildren; and many loving cousins. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at Bethany Chapel Cemetery, Eminence, Missouri, under the direction of Yarber Mortuary, Eminence.
