Sharon Lynn Greer, 73, was born May 11, 1951, to Dewey and Cordell (Hewitt) Greer, in Corinth, Mississippi. She went to be with her Savior on December 30, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, after years of fighting with Parkinson’s disease.
She graduated from Birch Tree High School as Valedictorian of the class of ’69 and continued to be an avid reader. She had many jobs during her life, including working as a loan officer and in insurance while living in Springfield, Missouri.
She was united in marriage to Kenton Wisecarver on December 28, 2013, in Birch Tree, Missouri.
Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, Dewey and Cordell Greer; brother-in- l a w, James; nephew, Danny; niece, Shelly; and granddaughter, Ridley.
Survivors include her husband, Kent; stepdaughter, Courtney (Shawn) Vanhorn; sisters, Donna Grandstaff and Vicki (Garry) Clemens; nieces, Stacy (Travis) and Jennifer (Dennis); and nephews, Garry Jr (Jessica) and Jim (Jamie). She is further survived by her grandchildren, Kenya, Saraya, and Amaeya, whom she never thought she would be able to have since she didn’t have children of her own; along with a multitude of great and great-great nieces and nephews with whom she shared her love of music and all things “hippie”
Sharon was a fighter and fought her long battle with Parkinson’s disease with Philippians 4:13 as the verse she clung to for comfort and strength; “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” She was also a prayer warrior for the entire family and always included them all in her prayers.
She will be missed by all her family and friends who will cherish the memories they hold dear.
