Carole Jean Ernie

Carole Jean Ernie was born in Sullivan, Missouri, on October 14, 1936. She departed this life at her residence in Ellington, Missouri, on February 23, 2025, at the age of 88.
On June 30, 1956, in Hernando, Mississippi, Carole was united in marriage to John L. Ernie and to this loving union two children were born. John preceded her in death on May 30, 2011. Carole and John owned and operated We b b Creek Boat Dock from 1965 until 1996 when they turned that business over to their son Steven. Carole and John also owned and operated Ernie’s Sales and Services. Carole enjoyed sewing, crocheting hangers, catfishing with trotlines, traveling in the winter to go fishing, and going deer hunting in Arkansas. One of her greatest joys was going shopping with her granddaughter, Danielle and great-grandson, Bryor.
Carole was preceded in death by her grandparents who raised her, Jess and Minnie Campbell, her husband, John L. Ernie, and one daughter, Cindy Jean (Ernie) Baker.
Carole is survived by her son, Steven Ernie of Ellington, Missouri, one brother, Wayne Heifner of Chicago, Illinois, two grandchildren, Danielle Brooke Lacey and husband Jonathon of Ellington, Missouri, and John Logan Ernie of Ellington, Missouri, and one great-grandson, Bryor Lacey of Ellington, Missouri.
Carole will be deeply missed by her family and friends who will mourn her passing.
Private Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2025, 11am at Yount Cemetery, Garwood, Missouri
