Martha Laverne Prewett

Martha Laverne Prewett was born February 10, 1949, in Mountain View, Missouri, to Charlie and Annie (Bradshaw) Holloway. She departed this life on May 3, 2025, at her home in Winona, Missouri, at 76. 

She was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. She married Ernest Prewett and raised eight children. 

Martha is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Annie Holloway; her husband, Ernest Prewett; son, Frankie “Dinky” Prewett; granddaughter, Makayla Prewett; siblings, Christine, Myrtle, Hazel, Ruby, Mary, George, Minnie, Nellie, Joe, Linda (Rosco), Fred, and Pearl. 

Survivors include her children, Ernie Prewett, Jesse Prewett, Richie (Stacy) Prewett, Annie (Ricky) Prewett, Jamie (Linda) Prewett, Jeffrey (Jessica) Prewett, and Marsha (Frankie) Teague; grandchildren, Robbie, Alex, Michael, Kyle, Miranda, Tyler, Brandon (Timber), Madelyn (Luke), Cody (Bridget), Joni (Michael), Katie, Brittany (Robert), Amber, Austin, Dylan (Mya), Jacob (Kelsea), Brett, Hannah (Joseph), Gabriel, Ambria, Hayden, Gabriella, Jimmy, Caleb, Harrison, Zachary, Kayla, Ernest and Nichole; and sister, Joyce. 

Martha’s family and friends find comfort in knowing that her memory will live on in their hearts and in the many lives she touched throughout her journey. 

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at Yarber Mortuary, Winona, Missouri with Danny Kile officiating. Visitation was held prior to the service from 12-2:00 p.m., also at the funeral home. Interment was in Pine Lawn Cemetery, Winona, Missouri. Condolences may be expressed at www.yarbermortuary.com.
