Mary “Lou” Louise
July 03, 2025
Mary “Lou” Louise Bressler Myers was born on September 4, 1939, and departed this life on June 21, 2025, at the age of 85 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Thelma Brown Bressler; two brothers, Andy and his wife, Barbara Bressler, and Tom Bressler; sister, Freda and her husband, Gene Henderson; brother-in-law, Don Heckel; sister-in-law, Kathryn Bressler; and niece, Stephanie Huffman.
Mary Lou graduated from Eminence High School in 1957. She then moved to St Louis and married Troy Myers. They were married for 10 years. She worked at a number of places before settling into a secretarial position for 30-plus years at Westinghouse.
Her goal in life was to take care of her family. She enjoyed traveling to many different locations. We can say as a family that one of our favorite memories is when she chartered a bus for the whole family and took us all to Nashville, TN: Her siblings and their families, aunts and uncles, and other friends. She provided everything for us all.
Her other favorite pastime was traveling to see her brothers perform their bluegrass music. She was beyond their biggest fan. Even in her last days, hearing her brothers sing would still put a smile on her face. Although she will be missed here, we know she is smiling, singing, and “wooing” as she sees that “Sinless Summer Land” for herself.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at Yarber Mortuary, Eminence, Missouri. Visitation was held prior to the service from 10-11:00 a.m. also at the funeral home. Interment was in Munsell Cemetery, Eminence. Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society, PO Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741. Condolences may be expressed at www.yarbermortuary.com.
