Doris (Broadfoot) Warren

Doris Ann (Broadfoot) Warren was born on October 20, 1943 to Hazel Mae (Chilton) and Darrel Eugene Broadfoot. She was born on the Broadfoot family farm on the Current River in Eminence, Missouri. She passed away at the age of 78 on February 17, 2022 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO after a brief illness. Doris was preceded in death by her parents Hazel and Darrell Broadfoot, her husband Gordon, who died June 28, 2005, her brother Lou Broadfoot February 5, 2022 and one son-in-law Kenny Yarber. On June 8, 1961 Doris Ann married her love Gordon Leroy Warren. To this union two children were born; Annette Nichols of Eminence, Missouri and Julie Yarber also of Eminence. Doris is survived by her daughters Annette (Gary) Nichols and Julie Yarber, her brother James (Brenda) Broadfoot, Eminence, Missouri. She is also survived by four grandsons; Austin (Shara) Nichols, Ft. Polk, LA; Eric (Brittany) Nichols, Eminence, MO; Nathan (Darian) Nichols, Eminence, MO; Chase Rutledge, Summersville, MO and three granddaughters; Caitlin (Aaron)Nicholson, BirchTree, MO; Savanna (Tom) Nordwick, Van Buren, MO; and Breanna Yarber, Jonesboro, Arkansas. She is survived by three nieces and a nephew; Summer (Vester) Crider of Eminence; Paula (Eric) Eighmy of Branson, MO;Megan (Brad )Michel of Jefferson City; nephew Theron (Emily) Broadfoot of Sedalia, MO; along with many great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by 12 greatgrandchildren; Josalie, Emery, Rowan, Tucker, Parker, Paisley, Cordell, Sutton, Lilly, Jake, Torin and Sage. Doris Ann retired in 2000 after many years of teaching 3rd grade at Eminence Elementary. Her last class included two of her own grandchildren. Doris Ann was a member of the West Eminence Christian Church where she was an active member as long as her health permitted. She taught Sunday School classes, Vacation Bible School and participated in many church activities. She loved to quilt and was the best cook when it came to her fried chicken and her chocolate pie. Graveside funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM, Friday, February 25th at the New Eminence Cemetery with Pastor Noel Orchard officiating.
